Hinter den Möglichkeiten, sich ab Mitte Juni mit Apple TV die Videos von YouTube anschauen zu können, steckt noch mehr. Google nämlich möchte 'thousands of videos designed for Apple TV' - Inhalte also nur für die Apple TV - anbieten. Dazu wird Google die Videos als H.264 Streaming kodieren. Wie ilounge.com/ auf Nachfrage erfuhr, sollen neuen Videos bei YouTube ab Mitte Juni immer im von Apple TV bevorzugtem QuickTime-Format kodiert werden. Bis zum Herbst will YouTube den gesamten Bestand umstellen von Flash-Video auf Apple QuickTime.
