Apple muß sich einer Sammelklage von enttäuschen PowerBook-Kunden stellen. Der in New York lebende Giorgio Gomelsky reichte jetzt seine Klage in Nord Kalifornien ein. Tausende von Kunden wurden von Apple mit Reparaturkosten von üblicherweise US $ 500 mehr im Stich gelassen. Das sogenannte Memory Slot Repair Extension Program, das am 24. Juli 2008 auslief, erfasst nicht alle betroffenen, also defekt gelieferten Geräte. So die Argumentation der Klage, von der AI berichtet.
